Silver Flute Alternate Fingerings Is My Flute Silver Or Nickel?

Is my flute silver or nickel? - silver flute alternate fingerings

I bought my daughter a flute and not whether it was silver or nickel. Is it possible that I can say whether silver or nickel? I tried to look at the flute and noticed funny marks. These markers can I tell what kind of metal it is?

Hello,

Well, a model student / beginner flute can be coated or silver and there is a difference between the two. Silver gilt is like the silver or silver finish jewelry. Nickel is darker ... like chrome. Even if it plated flute, you can always say with the ends of the parts - the head of the joint or body. When the device is in fact the money, it will end, no difference in the color / finish. If it stalls, you will see quite a change of color (about 2 gray opaque) cm from the bottom of the mouth and 1 / 2 inches in the lower body.

Well, if you're wondering if it is real silver flute in front of a nickel ... Monetary instruments are marked as such. Some remain in sterling silver or solid silver, somewhere in the direction of the flute.

And it's fairly safe to say that if the flute is a beginner / model tool for students, is a pretty good bet that it is registered.

Thank you for reading.

Any real money should be stamped SS, 925, sterling silver, or a mark. Sometimes only the head is silver. Look at the last peak of the head - it is clearly a different color, is the money. Hold your head high, and the ringing of the open end with your fingernail. If the rings * * - is the money. Real money is just thunk.

Please enter the make and model number, we can - if you are a legitimate company. Trash of Asia - is not known.

If you can provide a make and model, I can tell you that the coating. If not, then the price is a good indicator. If it is relatively cheap nickel. I saw flutes silver nickel selling for $ 400 and solid gold (not silver) sell flutes for $ 30,000. Message me the make and model, and I'll tell you.

I'm not a piper, so that will be one of the above answers, better than I ... but I would say that if you ask, no money. You know how much money you paid for it ...
