I wonder with my wedding at a secret location in the middle of the marathon course on Saturday in Chicago at the weekend marathon. I wonder if anyone had a wedding on Saturday and has one days from that. Have you had problems with hotels, taxis, travel, anything?

I live a few blocks from Grant Park, the city is a madhouse for the marathon. Their biggest problem will get hotel rooms in the metropolitan region (important if you continue to take the visitors into the city, plan or anywhere else) than at home on their wedding night. Parts of downtown roads are blocked, some of Saturday in transit, and taxis are hard to find, and may not be able to get close enough to the things in or near downtown. Driving is a challenge. I want to avoid the weekend if you have a viable alternative.
I went to the Chicago Marathon last year. The areas around the marathon route is very busy during this period. And the train is full enough and the cabs are hard to find, before, during and after the race. But the race is Sunday. Some hotels can be a bit more than usual, but I think it's too important. I think you'll have no trouble or have housing as a whole. Especially when most of their marriage on Saturday, see what happens.
